Recep AKTAŞ

Recep Aktaş was born in 1978 in Çarşamba, Samsun. He completed his primary and secondary education in Çarşamba and graduated from Üsküdar Imam Hatip High School. In 2000, he earned his law degree from Marmara University Faculty of Law. After completing his internship at Kuwait Turk Participation Bank A.Ş., he practiced as an attorney for a time. Since 2004, he has been working as a freelance lawyer and currently manages his law office in Üsküdar.

Specializing in labor, commercial, consumer, banking and finance, and construction law, he is a registered mediator with the Ministry of Justice's Mediation Department. He has also completed the Basic Training for Concordat Commissioners at Ibn Haldun University.

A founding member and active participant in several civil society organizations, he serves on their boards and provides legal consultancy in the areas of foundation and association law. He is married with three children.

Hilal Fatmanur KAYA

Hilal Fatmanur Kaya was born in Istanbul in 1998. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Law at Istanbul Commerce University. During her time at university, she led a student club and held various leadership roles in student organizations and youth commissions within non-governmental organizations. She actively spearheaded numerous social responsibility projects, participating in both national and international initiatives. In 2019, she served as a member of the Executive Board of the Turkish Youth Foundation (TGSP) and worked as a student assistant at Istanbul Commerce University.

Following university, Kaya completed an internship at the Turkish Constitutional Court, where she gained experience in constitutional law and fundamental human rights. She then interned at the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Migration Management, focusing on immigration law, and authored the article Reflections on Immigration Law. In 2020, she undertook a short-term internship in the Legal Affairs Department of the Turkish Maarif Foundation.

Kaya conducted research on gender disparities in volunteerism and participation in NGO educational activities, with her fieldwork interview being published in a journal. She also authored A Legal Perspective on Population Planning and Family Planning in Türkiye. In 2021, she served as a jury member at the Turkish Youth Summit. Kaya completed her legal internship at Hatemi Law Office in 2020, later working there as an attorney for two years.

During this period, she contributed to the TGSP’s NGO Capacity Development Program, authoring the NGO Participation in Political Dynamics and Administrative Processes module within the Advocacy and Participation Training Program. Currently practicing law, Kaya specializes in family law, women and children's rights, as well as the legal aspects of associations and foundations. Alongside her legal practice, she serves as the General Secretary of the Green Crescent Youth Commission, continuing her volunteer work. Kaya is married.

Musab Tayyip ALTINKAYNAK

Musab Tayyip Altınkaynak, born in Eskişehir in 1994, graduated from Anadolu University in 2018. He received his law license from the Eskişehir Bar Association in 2019 and founded his own law office the same year, where he has been practicing ever since.

He holds leadership roles in various civil society organizations across Eskişehir, Bilecik, and Kütahya, and has served as a project coordinator and mentor for several grant-funded initiatives. During his time at university, he led the Urban Development Club, the Idea Workshop, and the Debate Club at Anadolu University.

Altınkaynak has coordinated several projects in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, including the Sports Rehabilitation project and the Lamekan Book Café project. He also led youth-oriented initiatives such as the "Youth Policies and Youth Participation Summit," "Today's Youth, Tomorrow's Leaders," "Cultural Diversity, Unity in Youth," and "We are Healthy, the Future is Ours" projects with the Turkish National Agency.

He holds project certifications from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the EU National Agency Europass, along with an English language certificate from Malaysia’s Albukhary International University. He is fluent in English and is married.

İsmail PETEK

İsmail Petek was born in Sivas in 1977. He graduated from Istanbul University with a degree in law in 2000. He received his license from the Istanbul Bar Association in 2001 and subsequently established his own law firm, where he has been practicing ever since.

He is married with a daughter.  Between 2006 and 2007, he served as an Advisor to the Mayor of Maltepe and later as Chief of Staff to the Mayor from 2007 to 2009.

Currently, Petek is a registered mediator under the Directorate of Mediation, with a civil registry number of 2844, and is also involved in business. He has specialized in labor law, particularly in calculation-related matters, after completing expert witness training.

He is a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Private Secretaries Association and also serves on the Board of Directors of the Turkish Red Crescent's Maltepe branch. Petek has held several leadership roles in various civil society organizations.

Alaaddin Serhan Yaman was born in Safranbolu and completed his primary and secondary education in Karabük. He graduated from Istanbul University with a degree in law. He commerced his professional career practicing law independently in Istanbul.

From his high school years onward, he has been actively engaged with civil society organizations, taking on various roles and coordinating educational projects with both national and international impact.  

He also served as the office of the private secretary for the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM) and currently holds the position of Chief Advisor to the Speaker. He is married with three children.

Merve Sultan Bilgen was born in Erdemli, Mersin in 2000. She graduated from Erdemli Borsa Istanbul Science High School in 2018 and earned a law degree from Marmara University in 2022. Following her internship, she obtained her license to practice law in 2023 and commenced her independent practice in Üsküdar. She is currently a board member of the Lawyers Association for the 2023-2025 term, a position she has held since her time as a student.
