Green Crescent Receives a Special Award at the Young Turkey Summit

Green Crescent was recognized with a Special Award at the Young Turkey Awards within the scope of Young Turkey Summit, one of Turkey’s most comprehensive youth organizations.

Young Turkey Awards are handed to the winners at the Young Turkey Summit, which is one of the most comprehensive youth organizations in Turkey. At the event, Green Crescent was presented with the “Young Turkey Special Award” for its #GreenDedector application, which was implemented to raise awareness in society and to protect the rights of the general public.
As one of the most comprehensive youth organizations in Turkey, the Young Turkey Summit, which hosts more than 3,000 young people and more than 30 high-level speakers every year, was being held this year for the sixth time. The Young Turkey Awards, given as part of the summit, which brought together young people from 81 provinces and 184 universities across Turkey, were handed to the award winners at a magnificent ceremony held in the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Congress Center on Thursday, April 26, 2018.
The Young Turkey Awards saw 70 candidates competing in 14 different categories, with awards handed to those who made significant contributions to culture, art, technology, science, industry and the economy through their services and works. Delivering an opening speech at the award ceremony, Muhammed Attila Sevim, President of the Young Turkey Summit, said: “All together, we have to make our country stronger and more prosperous.” At the award ceremony, which was held with a broad participation, the popular group Six Pack took the stage, to the great enjoyment of the participants.

Young Turkey Special Awards Handed to Award-Winners

This year, Green Crescent was given a Special Award at the Young Turkey Awards Ceremony for its Green Detector application. The award was accepted on behalf of Green Crescent by Dr. Ahmet Özdinç, Member of the Board of Green Crescent and President of Young Green Crescent.
