The First NGO to Receive the Certificate of “Recognized for Excellence 5 Star”: GREEN CRESCENT

Green Crescent was honored with the certificate of "Recognized for Excellence 5 Star" at the 28th Quality Congress organized by Turkish Society for Quality (KalDer) on 26-27 November 2019. Receiving the award at the ceremony held in Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center, Green Crescent was the first non-governmental organization to be granted with the certificate of "Recognized for Excellence 5 Star."

Green Crescent, directing the addiction policies with its projects and activities in Turkey and around the world, crowned its perfection in the quality of management by being granted with the certificate of "Recognized for Excellence 5 Star" in these days while it is preparing to celebrate its 100th year. Green Crescent -which carries out its activities with 70 Country Green Crescents abroad, 117 nation-wide Green Crescent Branches and 39 Green Crescent Consultancy Centers (YEDAM) across the country- also became the first non-governmental organization to be granted with the certificate of "Recognized for Excellence 5 Star."

Having adopted the "EFQM (the European Foundation for Quality Management) Excellence Model" as of 2013, Green Crescent regards social benefit by managing its works in line with strategic planning, while conducting quality management policies meticulously in the fields of business continuity, sustainability and efficient stakeholder management. Green Crescent, which was granted with the Certificate of "Recognized for Excellence 3 Star" in 2015, also strengthened its management quality with "ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System Certificate" in 2019.

"We aim to crown our competency with Turkish Excellence Award in 2021."

Green Crescent General Manager Sultan Işık made evaluations in the award ceremony where Green Crescent was presented with the Certificate of "Recognized for Excellence 5 Star", and expressed the following: "The fact that our quality management is awarded with the Certificate of "Recognized for Excellence 5 Star" a short time before celebrating our 100th anniversary shows the significant works we have conducted until today. Green Crescent, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, proved to be the most competent non-governmental organization in terms of quality management by being granted with the certificate of "Recognized for Excellence 5 Star" with its strategy placing importance on continuous improvement. This award brings Green Crescent new objectives to increase ouractivities in our fight against addiction and to reach out to more people with our services.

As Green Crescent, we will sustain our management and service quality with the same determination to raise the level of social awareness against addictions. In our journey towards Excellence, which we are taking firm steps forward every day, we aim to crown our works in line with our approach "focusing on development, not on awards" with Turkish Excellence Award in 2021. I sincerely believe that we will receive Turkish Excellence Award in line with our efforts for continuous improvement.
